Host Coffee Hour

Setup the drinks and provide some simple treats for fellowship time after church. Sign-up sheets are on the information table in the Congo Cafe. 

Penny Pinchers Exchange

Come join the fun and camaraderie. There are many jobs available. Any time you can spare would be greatly appreciated for this worthy cause. For more information, call the office and leave a message. Someone from the committee with call back.

Donate Flowers

Provide flowers for worship service. Use a florist or bring a bouquet from your garden.  A dedication is placed in the bulletin. Please let the office know how you would like it to read by Wednesday afternoon. Sign-up sheet is in the Congo Cafe.

Watch for special holiday flower opportunities such as Easter and Christmas. Ordering inserts are placed in the bulletins, newsletter, and online.

Mercy Meals and More

Early birds, sign up when needed to meet in our church parking lot to travel together to serve breakfast to those in need.  Email Carl at webmaster@marionfirstchurch.org for more information.

Damien's Family Pantry

This is an ongoing project. Donate nonperishable foods. There are collections baskets outside the office, in the narthex, and outside of the Congo Cafe. Canned and dry food, pet food, and personnel hygiene products such as toothpaste and deodorant are needed. Please check that expiration dates are current.

Turning Point

Turning Point Day Resource Center is an all volunteer organization committed to helping our neighbors most in need. Turning Point Day is a social service agency that provides supportive services to individuals and families who are facing various life challenges and are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless as a result. In addition to housing assistance, Turning Point also offers assistance with heat and utility bills, access to emergency food and clothing, essential baby items, employment information, referrals to treatment centers and many more.  Turning Point collaborates with other local service agencies in order to come to together as a community to assist our most needy within our community. Through the generosity of our volunteers and donors Turning Point is able to make an impact on the lives of those we serve.

Mobile Ministries

In 2016 Mobile Loaves & Fishes released the truck to St. Paul’s Methodist Church and we have since renamed our local mission to Mobile Ministries. Mobile Ministries continues to serve our community with dozens of local churches still volunteering and helping to change the lives and hearts of many that are on the streets.  There are Mobile Ministries truck runs each night of the week and we’d be honored to have you join us.  For more information about volunteering please call St. Paul’s United Methodist Church at 508-993-0614

Habitat for Humanity

Buzzards Bay Area Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. They build decent, safe, well built, affordable homes alongside families who struggle to pay rent or mortgage payments in our community giving a family a foundation to build a strong future on.
